I have worked at Dakota Counseling Institute since July 2018. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP). I have my Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology with a specialization in Clinical Counseling. I primarily utilize mindfulness-based approaches, DBT and humanistic approaches in my clinical work. I have also done trainings in EMDR and polyvagal theory. I enjoy helping individuals who are experiencing disconnections in their mind/body work to create the life they want for themselves and to achieve a stronger sense of self or identity. Areas of special interest include trauma-informed approaches in anxiety, stress reduction, life transitions and LGBTQ issues. I am also a certified yoga instructor and have been trained in Vinyasa and Kundalini practices.
